Concentrating on residential projects for me
There can be little doubt that the [tag]residential[/tag] [tag]install[/tag] [tag]market[/tag] is set to grow significantly over the coming years. Up until now, [tag]custom install[/tag] and [tag]home automation[/tag] has been almost exclusively concerned with the high-end of the residential market – but that is changing. Property developers, house builders and forward thinking home-owners are all waking up to the benefits of what might be called the ‘[tag]digital lifestyle[/tag]‘. In fact, the market is expanding on all fronts – from the consumer looking for a simple ‘out-of-the-box’ home cinema system to the well-heeled businessperson realising their dream of a completely automated home.
For those bold and willing enough to make the commitment, the residential market also represents a great opportunity for the commercial installer. However, simply applying commercial market expertise to the residential arena will not be enough to guarantee success. Selling into the residential market requires a change of emphasis and approach in order to reap maximum reward.
